A promising technology company often arrives as a finished story: a difficult problem, an elegant machine and a market waiting for it. A research note becomes useful when it takes that story apart without throwing away what made it interesting.

This workbook is a way to compare claims consistently. It offers an evidence ledger, a company profile template and a shortlisting method. It is not a live company database, an investment recommendation or independent testing of a particular product.

Begin with the transaction rather than the category. Who would pay? What would they receive? What work would remain after delivery? If these questions cannot yet be answered, record that gap instead of letting an industry label stand in for a business.
